Overview

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-2023) will be offered for the academic year 2023–2024 by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The CUET 2023 test aims to establish a standard platform and offer equal opportunities to all candidates, particularly those from rural and distant locations, in order to expand connections with Central and Private Universities. The CUET 2023 will allow candidates to take a single examination and be considered for admission to multiple universities, thereby enabling a wide outreach.

Candidates who have completed the 12th grade with at least 45% marks or are in the process of completing the 12th grade may enroll in undergraduate courses. Candidates applying for a master’s degree must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

CUET 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates must review the following details about the CUET 2023 exam format for UG and PG level courses:

UG-level courses PG courses
  • The exam will be administered in a computer-based test (CBT) format online.
  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are the type of questions that will be on the exam.
  • There will be 13 languages available for the UG level course.
  • Candidates will have 3 hours 15 minutes for Slot I and 3 hours 45 minutes for Slot II.
  • The CUET UG will include 4 sections, numbered Section IA, Section IB, Section II, and Section III.
  • There will be 100 total questions on the exam.
  • For every accurate response, 5 points are awarded, while every incorrect response is deducted 1 point.
  • The exam will be administered in a computer-based test (CBT) format online.
  • The paper must be completed in 2 hours by the candidates.
  • Each examination paper will have 100 questions on it.
  • A total of 4 marks will be given for each right response.
  • One mark will be taken away for each wrong response.

    Section I
    Languages    		 Reading Comprehension based on different types of passages like Literary, Narrative, and Factual, ( Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary)
    Section II
    Domain-Specific Subject    		 MCQs will be based on the class 12th syllabus
    Section III
    General Test    		 General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning- Simple application of basic mathematical concepts/Algebra Geometry/ Mensuration and stat taught till Grade 8th, Logical and Analytical Reasoning
    PG- Syllabus Details
    Section I It will consist of 25 objective questions (MCQs) and will include English, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical Skills.
    Section II It will consist of 75 objective questions (MCQs) from the Teaching Aptitude
